The Challenge
As we supported expansion across UAE, we worked closely with the client to identify additional hires that would support a smooth and scalable trading launch.
Strengthening trade operations locally became a key priority to complement the incoming front-office team. Without experienced trade operations leadership in place, onboarding Portfolio Managers and launching trading activity risked significant delays.
The business needed someone who could quickly build and implement TradeOps processes locally – but thisrequirement hadn’t initially been part of the hiring roadmap.

Our Solution
Because of our relationship with the client, we were able to act proactively. We identified a strong existing contact – a TradeOps Lead who had recently relocated to Dubai and was open to exploring new opportunities.
Having a clear understanding of the client’s technical stack, operating model, and team culture allowed us to confidently introduce the candidate and facilitate exploratory conversations.
Rather than running a traditional search, we leveraged trusted relationships on both sides to move quickly and strategically, reducing operational risk during the launch of a brand-new trading entity.
The Result
The candidate joined the new UAE entity to build and scale the trade operations function from the ground up. Their early impact accelerated our clients ability to support incoming Portfolio Managers and move towards live trading. The success of the hire strengthened the firm’s regional expansion and led to continued growth of the UAE team, reinforcing our position as a strategic hiring partner rather than just a search provider.
