Solution DeFi Engineer | Remote EU/US | DeFi / Crypto Native

They are a founder owned, DeFi native crypto firm, early stage and deliberately scrappy. Small team, moves fast, built by people who’ve actually lived inside DeFi themselves rather than just studied it from the outside. No interest in pedigree, only in people who can build and who understand this space because they’ve used it, made money on it, lost money on it, and picked themselves back up.

You’ll be their DeFi Engineer, working directly with the founder and sitting close to the BD team on live deals. The mandate is simple, everything is MVP first. You’ll be the one figuring out how to use a bridge that has no frontend, building a liquidation bot for a lending market, and setting up alerting so the team knows the second an AMM liquidity pool goes out of balance. If something you build validates, it’s yours to own and run.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship MVPs fast, working proof of concept comes before polish, and nothing is expected to be production ready on the first pass
• Work out how to interact end to end with a bridge that has no frontend
• Design and build a liquidation bot for a lending market
• Build alerting for AMM liquidity pools so the team is notified the moment one goes out of balance
• Sit close to the BD team, joining technical calls with counterparties and supporting live deals, some worth well into six figures
• Validate or disprove ideas quickly, and take ownership of anything that proves out, sometimes pulling an all nighter to get a deal or a build across the line

Skills/Experience

• Genuinely DeFi native, you’ve used these protocols yourself, not just read about them
• Real trading literacy, ideally you’ve made money, lost money, and learned the hard way at some point
• Strong technical engineering skillset, comfortable shipping working code without a safety net
• Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities and minimal process
• Able to work independently with little structure, no hand holding
• Bonus points for an existing network across DeFi and crypto
