Our client is a fast-growing Series C AI infrastructure company building the data layer behind modern AI. Founded by former computer scientists, physicists and quants, their platform is used by hundreds of AI teams across robotics, autonomous systems and enterprise to manage multimodal data at scale.

The Role

You’ll join the Foundations team, the backend backbone every other team and customer relies on. You’ll build and own distributed systems that store, index, query and process video, image, 3D and document data at huge scale, making the architectural calls as the platform scales 100x.

Requirements

• Fluency in Python or TypeScript, plus a statically typed language (Rust, C++, Java or Go).
• Strong grounding in distributed systems: databases, replication, partitioning, caching and consistency.
• Deep understanding of CS fundamentals, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building systems from scratch and owning services in production.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and high autonomy.

Nice to Have

• Experience with storage, indexing or query engines.
• Background working with large-scale ML or multimodal data.
• Rust experience.
