A globally established proprietary trading firm is hiring Quantitative Traders and Researchers to join its high-performance teams across EMEA. The firm is known for its long-standing presence in algorithmic and electronic markets and continues to expand its trading capabilities with a focus on mid- and high-frequency strategies.

As a Quantitative Trader/Researcher, you’ll work in a collaborative environment where researchers, traders, and engineers build strategies from the ground up. You’ll have access to an advanced in-house infrastructure designed for rapid research, testing, and execution. The role combines research innovation, quantitative modelling, and practical trading application.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data-driven trading strategies in global electronic markets
  • Conduct deep research into market structure and trading behaviours to identify alpha
  • Analyse large datasets to uncover actionable signals and inefficiencies
  • Develop robust tools for data processing, model evaluation, and performance tracking
  • Enhance internal libraries and simulation environments for strategy testing
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering to optimise performance and deployment

Your Background

  • Degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or a related quantitative field
  • Experience in systematic trading or research is beneficial, though not essential
  • Strong grounding in statistics, linear algebra, probability, and time series analysis
  • Hands-on experience working with large datasets (e.g., tick-level data or alternative data sources)
  • Familiarity with predictive modelling, alpha generation, and signal validation
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++
  • Knowledge of market microstructure is a plus
